Sell tickets at check-in with a Stripe Wisepad POS device

Pair Tickit’s Check-in App with Stripe’s Wisepad 3 POS device for the best point-of-sale experience.  You can accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Android Pay and more.

Note: this feature requires iOS version 13 and up, or Android version 8 and up.

Getting started

  1. Make sure your Wisepad device is charged, plugged into a power source and within a meter of your iOS device
  2. Ensure your iOS device is connected to the internet
  3. Open the Check-in App and go to Setup
  4. Scroll down to find the “Selling” section and engage the “Use Stripe Terminal POS” option
  5. The Wisepad will search and connect to the Check-in App
  6. The Wisepad will periodically update itself with the latest data from Stripe – this can take up to 15 minutes

Sell tickets

  1. On the Setup screen load the appropriate tickets for selling
  2. Go to the Sell screen and tap tickets to add them to the order
  3. Select Checkout and then Card Payment
  4. Optional: enter the purchaser's name or email if you want to deliver the tickets to them
  5. Press Collect Payment to start the payment process
  6. The Wisepad device will prompt the purchaser to present their card and complete the payment
  7. The Wisepad will show that the payment is complete and then, a few seconds later, the iOS device will receive the same notification and show the "Purchase Complete" screen

Troubleshooting

If the Wisepad doesn't pair:

  1. Bring the two devices closer together
  2. Make sure the Wisepad is charged and plugged into a power source
  3. Make sure the iOS device is connected to the internet
  4. Make sure the iOS device has location services enabled for the Tickit Check-in App (this can be found in general settings)
  5. At the bottom of the Setup screen, select “clear all app data” and attempt the process again
