Syncing with Mailchimp
Tickit can automatically sync your customer data to Mailchimp.
Configure the Mailchimp integration
- Go to Settings > Integrations in your dashboard
- Choose "Add a new integration" and select "Mailchimp"
- Authorize Tickit to connect to your Mailchimp account
- Choose which Mailchimp Audience (aka "list") that we should use for your Tickit data
- Choose whether to just send opt-ins, or all data to Mailchimp
Syncing email opt-ins
Once Mailchimp is connected, whenever your customer opts-in to email marketing we will automatically add them to your list. They can opt-in when the place an order and also if they subscribe via an email subscription list.
Syncing e-commerce data
When a customer places an order, we will also sync their order data to Mailchimp. This gives you access to a customer's events, spending amounts, discounts and order frequency. All those fields can be used to build custom segments, marketing automations and send targeted emails.

Sync all customers or just opt-ins?
You can chose whether to sync all of your Tickit customers to Mailchimp or just those that opted-in for marketing emails.
If you choose to sync all your customers, Mailchimp will keep track of who signed up for marketing emails and who did not, so you'll never accidentally email the wrong people.
The customers that did not sign opt-in for marketing are considered "Non-subscribed Contacts" by Mailchimp. You can not email them marketing messages, but you can use their profiles for Google ads retargeting and one-to-one emailing. You can read about "Non-subscribed Contacts" on Mailchimp's site.
Mailchimp charges per-contact, regardless of if the contact opted-in for email marketing. If you send all your contacts to Mailchimp, it's possible you will need to upgrade your Mailchimp account.
Syncing older Tickit data
When you connect Mailchimp we do not go back and sync your existing orders. If you would like us to send this data to Mailchimp, get in touch with us at support@tickit.ca and we can get it all synced up.
