How do I set a limit to how many tickets can be sold?

By default there are no quantity limits on the number of tickets that can be sold.
To set a limit you can edit the relevant ticket and select “limit the number of tickets for sale” under "General Info". This will enable you to enter a quantity. This will be the maximum number of tickets that can be sold to the public.
To limit the number of tickets sold across multiple ticket types you can set up a release with a shared quantity cap. Releases are managed on the third tab, immediately after Pricing.
