Set up Tickit Check-in App on iOS and Android
Getting started
- Download the Check-in App from Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Direct links can be found in Box Office
- Open the Check-in App and connect your account by entering your Store ID and Secret Key that are found on the Box Office page linked above
- Go to Setup in the menu and give your device a name under “scanning location" (this will help with reporting, particularly if you have multiple check-in locations)
- Load the relevant tickets into the device on the Setup screen by clicking “load tickets”
- Choose your event to view all available tickets, select the ones you want to admit (and optionally some to sell) and tap ‘load tickets’
What device should I use?
For iPhone and iPad, we require iOS 13 and above.
For Android, we require Android 8 (Oreo) and above.
Both Apple and Android devices will work great and are virtually identical. There is one main difference:
- Apple allows attaching a barcode scanning "sled", which is fantastic for bigger events
If you are using Android, we recommend using a relatively modern phone from a well-known brand like Samsung, Pixel or Huawei. These phones are known to have better cameras and battery life, which can be important if you're scanning over a long period of time.
An Android phone released in the past four years should be fine. Samsung A-series would be a good choice for many people.
If you don't want to use the Google Play store, you can also download and install the app directly onto your Android device.
Note: If you are using a rental device with a scanning sled make sure the sled is enabled on the Setup screen (look for ‘use Linea barcode scanner’)
